Hiya, folks–sorry it’s been crickets (again) here lately, but my personal schedule has been really schizo lately!!…Hopefully, things begin to settle back down to a normal rhythm again, and I can actually get back in the blogging “zone”!!
But, until then, here’s what’s been going down in my life recently!!
Travel Talk
Last month, an interview that I did with one of my favorite travel bloggers (Kirstie from Venga, Vale, Vamos) went live as the first entry in her “Travel Talk” series–check it out, check it out!!…Speaking of writing, if you missed the third article I did for Las Morenas De España about the awkwardness of expat transcience, you can read it here!!…
GGI Strong
This past Sunday was the third official event ever for the Zaragoza chapter of GGI–that is, “Girl Gone International”, a social networking organization designed exclusively for female expats and world travelers that has chapters in 50 cities across the world…O.K., so there weren’t THAT many of us at our meeting, what with it being a puente and all–but it was still nice to meet up with familiar/unfamiliar faces and just wax poetic about the crazy lives we lead!!
Panic In The Eurozone
In case you haven’t been reading it in the news lately, the Euro is sinking–FAST…As I’m currently writing this, $1=.95€: When I came to ZGZ, it was $1=.74€…I’m not so much scared as I am irritated–I mean, why couldn’t this whole devaluation thing start until AFTER I had returned Stateside…But, hey–I guess it’s one of those “Let go, and let God” things…
…Parity approaches us (cite)!!…
Preparing For Takeoff
This morning, I made a semi-impulsive decision and booked a flight back to N.C., mainly because I didn’t want to take the risk of waiting too long!!…It all feels a little strange: Within 2 1/2 months, I’ll be out of Zaragoza and back in Greensboro–firstly, to see my baby bro graduate, but apart from that I have no clue as to what I’ll really do…Admittedly, I’m not really looking forward to it, but it’ll still be nice to hug my Mom again (yes, I am a Mama’s girl!!) and prepare myself for what’s up ahead…
Speaking Of What’s Up Ahead
In case you haven’t heard previously, I’ve decided to renew my position as an auxiliar–but this time, in a different comunidad autónoma…Well, as of this past Friday, I finally know what my next stop is:
That’s right, folks–I’m going to Madrid!!…I don’t exactly know in which city, but either ways, I probably can just live in the capital and commute to my school if I have to!!…
Fellow expats, what’s been going on in your life, lately???…And, can anyone who’s flown with Norwegian Air share their experience with me (they’re the guys I’m flying back with)???…
Because I’m Social (Follow Me!!):
who says U cant go home
…My father, because I owe him $$$, ;-)…
that aint what Bon Jovi said,,,,,,,,,,
Ahh, I’m so excited for you that you’ll be going to Madrid next year! You’ll love it, and if you have any questions, let me know.
Thanks for the link and for doing that interview with me! It’s been one of my most popular posts recently!
…No probs, Kirstie–and if I need any advice, I’ll be happy to drop you a line!!…
