2014: A Year Of Travel In Review (via Instagram!)…

O.K., so, as all my faithful readers know by now, 2014 has been a big year for me, what with me moving to Spain and all!!…

However, my adventurings this year have not only taken me to Zaragoza (my current homebase), but to a variety of interesting destinations…So, to cap it all off, here’s an overview of all of my travels this year via Instagram–which is quickly becoming one of my favorite things, EVA (thank God I got a smartphone this year)!!…

Choirland–This past March, I enjoyed the last Spring Break of my undergraduate career in the Republic of Oireland (properly pronounced as written), on a tour with my fellow classmates choir nerds

Zaragoza–I officially took the plunge and become an expat, moving to the Aragonese capital on September 15 of this yearI’ve really enjoyed exploring this city and I hope to discover more exciting things about her!!…

Loarre–In my first month here in Aragón, I went on a trip with a group of Erasmus students…Our first stop was Loarre, a small town in Huesca Province that’s home to one of the most well-preserved Medieval fortresses here in Europe…

Riglos–The second stop of my little Erasmus trip was Riglos, which is quite a beautiful little town–though the Hike from Hell definitely taints my memories of the place…

Gandía/Denía–In late October, I went to these two Valencian cities to participate in a conference sponsored by the UEBE, the Spanish union of Baptist churches…Though I didn’t enjoy the actual conference that much, at leas one good thing came out of that excursion: I finally accomplished my lifelong goal to wade in the Mediterranean!!…

Teruel–This past weekend, I went on my first solo trip EVA and visited Teruel Province, and the provincial capital definitely had my attention (posts to come soon)…

Albarracín–Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending the day in this village, which is often considered to be Spain’s most beautiful–and indeed, I’m hard-pressed to think of many other places that rival its beauty!!…

Over to you!!…What have been some of your travel highlights from this year???…
