The Tapa of the Week (Entries 3 & 4): El Ensanche’s Morcilla w/ Squash & El Refugio’s Garlic Croqueta…

SORRY, YA’LL!!…I know I’ve REALLY been slack with this post series, but last week I was super-busy, and yesterday, I was too exhausted to even write!!…But, let me make it up to you with a special double-serving of deliciousness!!…

First, I take you to El Ensache, a bar in El Tubo that’s one of the stops on the city’s official Ruta de Tapas (Tapas Route), and I can see why: Not only are the staff friendly, but the food is pretty good too–ESPECIALLY this little morsel:

Morcilla (a type of Spanish blood sausage) with a grilled red pepper, wrapped in grilled squash and topped with caramelized onion…Yes, I know that sounds really weird–but it WORKS!!…

For our second pincho, I take you to El Refugio, another bar in El Tubo where you’ll also find great food–like this bangin’ garlic croqueta!!…

Yes, a croqueta filled with softened garlic–it definitely tastes better than it sounds (though it will leave your breath smelling questionable)!!…

By the way–they also have some really good pepinos (peppers)!!…

Anyone else enjoy good pinchos this week???…
